RDaSH NHS Foundation Trust: Mobile Signal Boosters
Article Contents
Business Overview
Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) provides healthcare services across 200 locations in the regions of Rotherham, Doncaster, and North Lincolnshire. Its headquarters, Woodfield House, is situated on the Tickhill Road Hospital site in Balby, Doncaster. The Trust offers a wide range of services, including mental health and learning disability care, community health services, district nursing, and health visiting. Each year, around 115,000 individuals benefit from these services.
Challenges Faced
After OFCOM identified and removed a non-compliant mobile signal booster from the headquarters, RDaSH found itself without adequate mobile coverage in crucial areas. This posed a significant challenge, as mobile connectivity is vital for the Trust’s staff and visitors to perform their roles effectively.
The CEL-FI solution has significantly enhanced the signal quality in areas where it’s been installed. We are now looking to purchase more boosters to ensure complete coverage throughout the facility
Business Needs
The lack of a reliable mobile signal caused disruptions in the daily operations of the Trust. Staff and users reported issues with connectivity, impacting their ability to provide essential services. The IT department urgently needed a compliant, quick-to-deploy solution to restore stable coverage.
Solution Implemented
Following multiple consultations and an assessment of their requirements, it was determined that the CEL-FI GO X mobile signal booster was the perfect fit. This advanced booster can amplify mobile signals by up to 100 dB and boasts a rugged IP65 rating, making it resistant to harsh conditions such as dust and moisture. The CEL-FI GO X utilizes the award-winning Intelliboost signal processing technology, ensuring the largest coverage area and optimal voice and data performance. Additionally, it does not interfere with other wireless devices, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
Outcomes
The swift installation of the CEL-FI GO X solution provided a compliant and effective means of improving mobile coverage throughout the headquarters. The Trust has since seen a noticeable improvement in EE signal strength. They are now considering the deployment of additional CEL-FI GO X boosters to enhance coverage in other areas of the hospital.
