Project Overview
LST Projects were unhappy with their telephone system, it did not perform as promised and they felt let down. We migrated them to our cloud pbx which now does everything they want and more. They are able to seamlessly communicate between their main office and separate warehouse, and capture key real-time and historical information in their call centre. FIS Construction is also operated out of their premises which uses the same communications systems, working in perfect harmony with LST Projects.

Like so many other businesses in the UK, LST Projects are a long way from the BT exchange and increasingly frustrated with slow broadband.  Their premises are based in an industrial estate so with a relatively low population, Superfast broadband was not in the planning anytime soon. LST Projects agreed to have a leased line which gives them a full uncontended 100Mbps both upstream and downstream. This leased line transformed the way they work, especially with the large drawing files they use to collaborate with team members and customers.

They were also disillusioned with their ‘on-premise’ telephone system, not doing what it should have done. Their telephone system was linked to their CRM with software provided by the telecoms vendor, but this stopped working following an operating system update. Their telecoms company reinforced that the new Windows operating system was not supported, whilst their IT provider insisted on the operating system upgrade for security reasons.

LST decided to instruct easyNetworks to replace their telephone system in favour of a cloud telephone system from easyNetworks. A primary reason for this decision, is the software provided for CRM integration is developed by Broadsoft, a global leader in cloud telephone systems. We explained to LST, whilst we are unable to guarantee a repeat of this situation, the software is provided on a monthly subscription basis, so the developer will only continue to receive their global subscriptions if their software supports the latest operating systems.

LST also decided to expand their operation and took occupation of a second warehouse in the same industrial estate.  Their new cloud telephone system enabled them to simply plug in some additional telephone handsets in the new premises, and all handsets at both premises work perfectly in harmony.

Our customised firewall appliances were installed in both sites and with our secure VPN, so all remote warehouse staff can access all IT services as if they were in the main office.
