Portsmouth telecoms group joins easy family of brands.
A Portsmouth-based IT & telecommunications company is celebrating the start of a new chapter by joining one of the most iconic modern business brands, managed by easyJet founder, Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou.
With the name, ‘Easy Networks’, it was only a matter of time before the IT and telecommunications company, started by entrepreneur Richard Gwilliam in 1995, caught the attention of the man best known for founding the low-cost airline and building a group of companies including ‘easyHotel’, ‘easyCar’ and ‘easyHub’.
“Last year, I was invited to talks with Sir Stelios which I thought would be about intellectual property and use of the brand name,” recalls Richard.
“However, after some discussion, we realised we both had the same business values and Sir Stelios invited us to join his ‘easy’ family of brands. I went into a meeting prepared for some tough negotiations and walked out with a new business partner!”
The swift transformation of the business with the addition of the distinctive ‘easy’ branding has been immediately noticed, commented on and has received an overwhelmingly positive response from clients across the UK. With support from Sir Stelios, easyNetworks will be opening its first London office in May as part of its renewed growth strategy.
