7 Hour Fix SLA

Most broadband services Service Level Agreements are based on “best endeavours” creating a risk to your business connectivity – however investing in a dedicated unshared leased line drastically reduces this risk as it’s the only service with a reliable 7 hour fix SLA.

Yours and yours alone

A dedicated leased line offers exclusive use of a high-speed internet connection. Unlike shared connections, a leased line provides consistent, lightning-fast speeds, ensuring your business operations run smoothly without any interruptions or slowdowns.

Guaranteed Bandwidth

With a dedicated leased line, you get a guaranteed level of bandwidth that is not affected by other users. This means your internet speed remains stable and predictable, no matter the time of day,  how many devices are connected or what applications are being used.  Essentially if you’re migrating to cloud applications and storage.

Symmetrical speeds

Symmetrical speeds ensure balanced and uninterrupted performance for all online activities, whether sending large files, streaming HD video, or using video conferencing and VoIP. Communication remains smooth and lag-free with identical upload and download speeds.

    FAQs about business leased lines

    What is a leased Line?

A leased line is a dedicated, fixed-bandwidth internet connection that is reserved exclusively for your use. Unlike shared connections, a leased line offers consistent, reliable internet speeds and is typically used by businesses that require high-performance connectivity for their operations.

How expensive are the installation charges?

Installation typically costs around £2000 for a dedicated leased line, but this cost is absorbed by most network operators if there is a commitment of 3 years on the leased line.

    What does Symmetrical speeds mean?

You get the same upload speed as download speed.  Most broadband services will give you a larger download speed than upload speed which is not ideal if your business is migrating services and storage into the cloud.

    Why is Low Latency important?

Latency (Internet speak for delay) is very important. High latency will feel like you have slow Internet, so it is important to deliver high speed with low latency to give the best results. A variable latency will also cause problems, especially for real-time services such as video or voice, so a consistent latency is essential for the best experience.

How expensive are the Excess Construction Charges (ECCs)?

This all depends on the amount of construction work needed to install your circuit.  Usually the tail provider (BT Openreach or Virgin) will absorb costs up to £2,500 on a 36 month contract.

What if the ECCs are really high and I’ve signed the order?

Don’t worry – The ECCs are identified at the survey stage and you will get the opportunity to cancel your order if the ECCs are too high.

Why do I need to commit to 36 months or more?

The networks will usually waive the installation costs as long as you commit to a 3 year term, plus they will absorb some of the construction charges to install your circuit.  You could opt for a 12 month commitment, but this significantly increases the set up costs.

How long does it take to install a dedicated leased line?

Installation time is typically 65 working days but it maybe quicker if there is existing infrastructure in place.  If the installation is complex and requires ducts to be installed or repaired, this can have a drastic impact on the lead time as construction works and road closures might be needed.
